Below is another critical vote for the team, which engine do we use, obviously the ex ferrari and mclaren engines will be pricey and will mean stealing the contract of another team at the back of the grid, but we are sure that with the right price we should be able to get a great engine for the 2010 season.

Lotus are one of the biggest names in the F1 manufacturing world still to this day, all those years after McLaren oarted company with the UK based sports car manufacturer.
Colin Chapman, the main behind the Lotus outfit started his Lotus brand in 1952 and gained much success in the motorsport field until the 1990's. Lotus managed 7 F1 world championships, 6 F1 Drivers Championships along with multiple wins in the Indianapolis 500.
A really worthy engine supplier in need of a boost back into the world of F1 as soon as possible.

Honda have had a very difficult year in 2007, but they are vastly improving and could be a force to reckon with again by 2010, so maybe we should think about a second hand Honda engine.
Honda of course at the moment are offering pretty much the whole car to their second team Super Aguri, lets see what happens to them in 2008 as Honda have had a terrible year for 2007. Super Aguri may start developing their own engines in future to keep ahead of their closest competitors. Although Honda have had a bad season, the engine hasn't been the main problem, the car in general has lacked any grip or control throughout the year. So a Honda engine could be good news for our team.

As proven in the 2007 season the BMW engine is powerful and reliable, a shock to a lot of people we think here at my f1 dream. The engine has been brilliant for both Kubica and Heidfeld for 2007 seeing them both battling for 4th place behind the Ferrari and Mclaren team mates.
The P86 engines in 2006 season seemed to be plagued with problems and had a lot of speed but was let down with reliability issues which saw it pulling into the roadside at many a race. If anyone went to a race in the 2007 season you will have noticed the noise of the BMW engine as it roared past, you knew it was a renault without having to open your eyes. This would be a really great engine to use in the myF1dream.com car.

Cosworth have been around for a long time now in motorsport and made itself famous by proving amazing rally engines in the 80's and 90's.
Cosworth made some amazing V10 engines pre 2007 for various back field runners which would rev all the way upto 20,000 rpm. There are talks that Cosworth may be back in either 2008 or 2009 and this is great news for the F1 world. The heritage of Cosworth engines in F1 goes back to the days of Jim Clark and the double four valve (DFV) engines.

Mclaren have always made engines with incredible rpm, so maybe some of that could be passed on, a year old McLaren engine is still a McLaren engine after all. Even though there is a strong possibility that Pro Drive will have the engine for 2008, the 2010 season may still be within reach for a McLaren engine.
The 2007 season was plagued with spy rows about technical documents and information that means some parts of the McLaren engine may have been a Ferrari development but at the end of the day the results show who used the engine to the best of their ability.

Renault are not the same force as they were in 2005/2006 but they are still working on improvements all the time, they could be a really great engine manufacturer again by the 2010 season.
The engine gives out the usual max revs of 19,000 rpm and is a 90 degree V8 engine, they use Champion spark plugs and the electronic control unit (ECU) is looked after by Magnetti Marelli. The 2007 engine is an RS 27, which is likely to be found in one of the back field cars in 2008.

Toyota have always been good for making high-tech engines, so maybe they would like to pass their knowledge onto us here at my formula one dream. We now know that Ralf Schumacher will be out of the team for 2008 but the engine and car live on.
The engine has been used in the 2007 season by Williams after their bad year with the Cosworth engine. It definitely paid of for Williams with Rosberg finally starting to catch the front of the grid instead of ending up parked at the side of the track with an engine simmering from the flames.

Ferrari are such a force and have had the top end speed now for a very long time, just a bit of an issue with reliability , we're sure nobody would mind sticking a second hand Ferrari engine in to our cars though. Of course the 2007 season was all about the row of technical information, but time will see this come down to drivers, cars and engines.
Ferrari have so many years of history in F1, noticeably the rise of Micheal Schumacher to being one of the biggest names to hit the sport. They have won the constructors title 15 times now, from 1961 to and including the 2007 season after the disqualification of McLaren.
