Webber takes the 2010 Hungarian GP Win - 02/08/2010 (15:43:32 GMT)
Mark Webber has won the 2010 Hungary Grand Prix at the Hungaring. The Aussie managed to gain his position after he missed his opportunity to come into the pits when a safety car was out. This allowed him to stay in front on the same tyres and put in some fantastic lap times to get the space he needed for his pit stop.

Sebastian Vettel made a last minute dash into the pits when the safety car was announced, when he was backing up the field for the restart though he allowed his team mate to get more than 10 car lengths in front of him. This fault caused the stewards to penalise him with drive through penalty. This ruined his chance of staying out in front of Webber and got him stuck behing the Ferrari of Fernando Alonso for the rest of the race.

Other dramas in the race include Nico Rosberg leaving the pit box with one wheel nut loose, and the wheel speading off into the Williams garage. Also Robert Kubica was allowed out when Adrian Sutil was going into his box, this created a smash in the pit lane with both drivers eventually retiring from the race.

The biggest shock of the race came in the last few laps though when Rubens Barichello was trying to get past the slow car of seven times world champion Michael Schumacher. His attempts were dangerously being blocked off each lap he got within reach, but when the final move came Michael shoved him against the wall on the pit straight causing the drriver no option but to just touch the wall. Luckily the Brazilian driver held his nerve and kept the move ahead of the frustrated German driver.

This was certainly a race people would talk about for a while but not for all of the right reasons.

Adrian Sutil put in the fastest time at his home Grand Prix for the first Friday practise session.

The session started very wet with a fair few drivers sliding off to the run off areas.

The new McLaren blown diffuser was being tested by both drivers with Lewis Hamilton managaing to send his car into the barrier at turn 3 with force. The rear end was smashed in and the front also had a heavy shunt against the tyre wall.

The Ferrari of Massa also managed a good wet time with the second fastest and the new blown diffuser of McLaren finishing in third.

Webber takes Silverstone Victory - 12/07/2010 (14:58:16 GMT)
Mark Webber has won the 2010 British Grand Prix after an amazing performance to out do his team mate Sebastian Vettel. Mark was clearly heard on the radio straight afterwards saying 'not bad for a number 2'. The remark was to make Red Bull take note that he too can be number one contendar for the championship.

The start of the race was hectic towards the first corner with Lewis Hamilton's front wing nipping Sebastian Vettel's rear wheel. With in two corners Sebastian was off the track with a rear puncture. After getting into the pits he emerged in last place.

The other major happenings in the race was Jenson Button taking a really good drive and working his was up to 4th from 14th on the grid, Vettel also managed to make his way up the grid with eventually ending up 7th behind Kobayashi in 6th.

Fernando Alonso had another dissapointing race after cutting the corner on Robert Kubica and not giving the place back. He was then told to let him past again, by which time Kubica was off and his resting ill in the Renault garage. Fernando has to take a 10 second penalty which he had to take just after a safety car had come out.

Lewis Hamilton managed a good race and kept onto Mark Webbers Red Bull as much as possible through out the race. Nico Rosberg filled the gap between the two McLarens and got himself a place on the podium.

Vettel P1 at Silverstone - 12/07/2010 (14:42:10 GMT)
Sebastian Vettel has made it P1 for the 2010 British Grand Prix. The German set a blistering time of well under the 1 minute 30 second mark.

There is still some controversy over the fact that young Seb was given the new upgraded wing off Mark Webbers car after he smashed his own in the morning practice session.

Mark clearly was not happy after qualifying with the situation. The two McLarens also struggled in the qualifying stages with Jenson Button only managing 14th on the grid. Lewis put together and got a really good lap in near the end of Q3 and sits 4th on the grid behind the two Red Bulls and Fernando Alonso's Ferrari which is just in front of him in 3rd place.

Sebastian Vettel topped the time sheets in the morning practice session before qualifying. The German has been on top form for the entire weekend so far setting some very quick times.

Pirelli to be F1 Tyre Manufacturer from 2011 - 09/07/2010 (15:38:38 GMT)
Pirelli have beaten off the competition in the bid to become the official Formula One Constructors tyre supplier from 2011.

They beat off competition in the race to be the sole manufacturer from 2011 from both Michelin and Cooper.

The Italian tyre manufacturer last supplied F1 tyres in 1991.

This is good news which could be even more interesting by the next concorde agreement if they allow for rival tyre manufacturers again.

Lewis Hamilton wins in Canada - 09/07/2010 (15:25:31 GMT)
Lewis Hamilton has once again won the Canadian grand prix. The race started with Lewsi in pole position with mounting pressure from Sebastian Vettel who had the medium compound tyres on.

With the McLaren needing to get rid of their troublesome softer compound tyres they elected early stops to get the better super soft tyres on earlier in the race.

With the Lewis Hamilton pitstop the team did not manage to get him out before Fernando Alonso so the pair went toe to toe through the pit lane. Hamilton gave way to Alonso and gave Sebastian Vettel the lead.

The McLarens eventually made up a lot of pace and ovetook the Red Bull's when it was time for the pitstops. This left Hamilton to take the lead in the end after some good decisions made by the team.

Button made it a one-two for the team for the third time in the 2010 season so far. Michael Schumacher's old style came out in Canada after ramming people of the track and pushing his way through.

Lewis Hamilton has managed to break the Red Bull charge for the front of the grid and stuck the car in P1. Although Lewis made an excellent last minute final lap, he had to stop the car half way round on his in lap as he had run out of fuel.

Lewis gave the fans a treat when he got out of the car and began pushing it back to the pits. The team were fined for incident but Lewis got away with any kind of penalty.

The two Red Bulls took up the second and third slot with Fernando Alonso sticking the Ferrari fourth on the grid.

Lewis Hamilton wins the Turky Grand Prix - 09/07/2010 (10:03:02 GMT)
Lewis Hamilton made it a victorious win in Turkey gaining a one-two for McLaren. The win came at a lose due to the two Red Bull drivers colliding during the race.

Mark Webber was lapping slower after being told to wind down on the throttle to get the car through to the end of the race. With Webber slowing down Sebastian Vettel was quickly catching him from behind, on lap 41 he decided to try a moce on the inside of the Aussie and when he did he found no room was given for the move and twitched the car across to the right for more. Vettel eventually found himself tangled with Webber and both flew off the track with Webber managing to get himself back to the pits whilst Vettel was out of the race.

With all of the drama from Red Bull the McLaren drivers managed to have a similar situation occur towards the end of the race with some brilliant toe to toe racing from the two Brits. The two managed to stay on the track with no incidents and Lewis managed to maintain his first position to come through and win the race.

Webber gets Pole in Malaysia - 03/04/2010 (23:41:15 GMT)
Mark Webber managed a last minute pole position from a very interesting qualifying session.

In Q1 the rain actually got heavier so the teams who left setting a time to the second half if the 20 minutes could not get a decent enough time to get into Q2. So we lost Hamilton, Massa and Alonso in Q1 along with Jenson Button going off into the gravel so he was stuck in 17th.

Once we were into Q3 it had to be stopped within 3 minutes as the rain was turning into a storm. In the last stages of Q3 Webber and Red-Bull made the right decision to let Mark go out on intermediate tires where as every other driver was still on wets. He managed a pole sitting time of more than one and a half seconds once the track was drying out.

Kimi Raikkonen will be enjoying his first full year in the WRC championship driving for the Red Bull Citreon WRC Junior Team.

2010 Tyre Rule - 28/01/2010 (22:24:26 GMT)
FOTA and the FIA have come up with the concept for tyre rules for the 2010 season.

Due to no fuel changes needed they have decided that only one tyre change will be needed during the race.

The other big news in the proposal is that the top 10 drivers will have to use the same set of tyres with which they set the fastest lap in Q3.

This will be interesting to see who uses which strategy in Q3 for getting a great start off the grid without KERS being around in 2010 to help.
New Mercedes GP 2010 Livery - 28/01/2010 (22:18:05 GMT)
Here is a look at the 2010 livery of the new Mercedes GP team, formally known as Brawn GP.

The launch also bought as much attraction from the two new drivers for the team, Micheal Schumacher and Nico Rosberg.

Although the 2010 car was not on show as the livery was placed directly onto the 2010 championship winning car which bought the title home to Brawn GP.

Virgin Racing Annoucement - 15/12/2009 (12:30:01 GMT)
Today on Tuesday 15th December 2009, Richard Branson and Manor GP re-launched the team as Virgin Racing with two new drivers, Timo Glock and Lucas Di Grassi.

The team are hoping for success and say that they are the lowest budgeted team set to race in the 2010 F1 season.
Rosberg Bet 2008 Singapore F1 GP - 14/09/2009 (12:17:01 GMT)
This is my original betting slip from last year which I have highlighted where I had two seperate bets on Rosberg to Win. The first bet was 100/1 on that Rosberg could win it outright and also another 7/1 bet that he would win outside of the top 6 of the time.

This will be used as evidence if Flavio and the Renault F1 team are found guilty of race fixing due to Alonso gaining an unfair advantage for the win.

As a fan I often fancy a little flutter on a race weekend to make it just that extra bit more exciting, but I will not be wasting my money anymore if the team are indeed found guilty of fixing the outcome of this race.

Henry Surtees 1991-2009 - 21/07/2009 (15:56:02 GMT)
MYF1DREAM would like to offer our sincerest condolences to the Surtees family and all who knew the talented young driver Henry Surtees.

Henry died Sunday 19th July 2009 after he was hit by a wheel which came off Jack Clarke's F2 car at the Brands Hatch race.

Henry managed a podium just the day before and was having a superb season in the first F2 series this century.

We at MYF1DREAM believe that Henry had all that it took to compete in F1 and match his fathers success. It is a sad loss for motorsport and Henry will never be forgotten.

New Force India 2009 Released ! - 02/03/2009 (10:14:02 GMT)
Yessterday Force India unveiled there new 2009 car. The car has all the new aero looks and now has a mercedes mclaren power horse to the rear.

The car looks tidy, lets see if it will now get much further up the grid on race weekend, witht he new unified aero and mclaren engine.

There might be a really good battle with the ex Honda outfit for this season with having same aero looks and both having mercedes mclaren engines. Good luck to Fisi and Sutil for the 2009 season.

Williams Takes Shape ! - 27/02/2009 (18:21:19 GMT)
Here is an image of the final Livery for the 2009 Williams Team car. It is a brighter blue and you may notice that RBS are still a main sponsor, although it has been confirmed that they will be pulling out of F1 by 2010.

I think it looks OK, although I did like the dark navy blue they used for testing recently, though it was ahead as the best looking 2009 car in a darker shade.

USF1 Launch - 25/02/2009 (10:14:56 GMT)
USF1 has officially launched today, visit USF1.COM to find out more. The team is promising closer interaction to the fans, including pits access and more for viewing fans.

It is nice to see a team wanting to get closer to the fans just as our promise is to offer fans much closer interaction and voting rights over an entire race weekend.

MYF1DREAM wishes USF1 all the best for next season, keep up the good work lads.
Massa Quickest in Bahrain - 20/02/2009 (09:13:19 GMT)
Massa managed to finish on top for the last day of testing in Bahrain this week. Glock also managed to finish a day on top along with Rakkionen also topping one of the first test days.

Ferrari also encountered a problem with their KERS testing, which gave them plenty of practice in the case of an emergency KERS problem.

1. Massa Ferrari (B) 1:32.162 113
2. Heidfeld BMW-Sauber (B) 1:32.225 122
3. Glock Toyota (B) 1:32.445 65

Danica Patrick and USF1 - 17/02/2009 (14:44:15 GMT)
USF1 have hinted that they may be testing with Danica Patrick as soon as the team has been launched.

This would be a massive move, making Danica Patrick the first ever woman to race in Formula 1.

The sposorship would be crazy and she is probably a pivotal role in the team getting the go ahead by financial backers.

Hamilton Fastest in Jerez - 13/02/2009 (14:55:16 GMT)
Lewis Hamilton proved once again his pace in McLarens new 09 spec car. Bourdais was clearly the fastest but he was still testing with the 08 Toro Rosso from last season.

The suprise of the day was that Sebastian Vettel in the superb new RB5 was only 0.001 seconds behing Lewis Hamilton at his fastest. This is again showing how Vettel may well be up nearer the top this season.

Bourdais - Toro Rosso-Ferrari (08 spec) 1:18.493 (128 laps)
Hamilton - McLaren-Mercedes (09 spec) 1:20.737 (93 laps)
Vettel - Red Bull-Renault (09 spec) 1:20.738 (92 laps)
Nakajima - Williams-Toyota (09 spec) 1:20.898 (92 laps)
Alonso - Renault (09 spec) 1:21.307 (133 laps)
Schumacher Bike Crash - 12/02/2009 (21:26:45 GMT)
Seven Time World F1 Champion Michael Schumacher had a motorbike crash today as his Holzhauer Racing Honda Fireblade came off the track at the first bumpy corner. The accident happened whilst preparing for his season in the German Superbike Championship this year.

Michael was unhurt but sent to hospital for further checks. Be sure to se him back on his bike before long.

Donnington Park - Screwed - 10/02/2009 (14:22:04 GMT)
It was announced over the weekend that the consortium behing the Donnington Venture Ltd are in the deep doo doo. I've personally never minded Donnington, but I have always prefered Silverstone for a huge international event such as F1.

The pain of getting in and out of Donnington was always the fall back of it and the fact that you can not walk the track completely round the outside is a bit of a draw back.

The company behind the whole donnington campaign are apparently in 66 million GBP debt and are going to report an annual loss of around £12,000,000. Not looking good for 2010, Bernie please let us have Silverstone as a backup.
New RB5 Revealed - 09/02/2009 (13:59:50 GMT)
Today the New Red Bull RB5 has been revealed along side its two main drivers Sebastion Vettel and Mark Webber.

As you can see the nose looks a lot thinner than most of the other teams and has an almost fragile look to it from the front. I can imagine drivers not going toe to toe in the car for the first corner.

The Fastest Toyota Snow Plough - 06/02/2009 (14:10:39 GMT)
Looking at this picture is surely proof that the new shaped cars could easily sweep up the current snow flurry which has hit most of europe this winter.

Be a lot quicker than a JCB anyway. Not Toyota's fault, just the angle on this picture shows it off perfectly.

New Mclaren 2009 MP4-24 - 06/02/2009 (14:06:26 GMT)
Here is a picture of the new shape Mclaren MP4-24. Probably the best looking so far out of the new crowd, although I think the williams still looks pretty hot with the all new snow plough look.

Lets see if Mclaren can finally get a constructors championship this millenium.

Ferrari F2009 Snow Plough - 06/02/2009 (09:51:01 GMT)
Its the right kind of weather right now in the UK for this amazing new snow plough. In all seriousness it does look nicer than the BMW.

They are also working on a KERS system which they will not run with for the first race, but we may well see it make an appearance later in the season.

New BMW F1 Arrival - 05/02/2009 (14:45:45 GMT)
No doubt most people have seen pictures of the all new 2009 BMW, as they were the first to really carry off the some what unusual new shape.

The spoiler really does show up on the BMW. To me it just looks like a beefed up Formula BMW. As long as we have a good season I guess I can live with it.

US F1 team ready for 2010 - 04/02/2009 (14:30:37 GMT)
An American consortium is preparing to put together a team to enter the Formula One arena in 2010.

The team, aptly named USF1, will be leaded by American design engineer Ken Anderson and the ex Williams team manager Peter Windsor.

I would like to say this can only be a good thing to have more cars on the grid for 2010. Hopfully along side us too, of course. :)

50 million to run a team - 04/02/2009 (14:17:41 GMT)
The FIA have just announced that it wants a 50 million euro budget for every team, which will allow teams closer to the back of the field to run at less than this and still be competitive.

MYF1DREAM has always agreed that there needs to be a more unified field, to enable closer racing. This brings in the opportunity for a team like us to get are foot in the door from 2010.

The FIA finally making a good decision on F1 for a change.
New Williams FW31 - 03/02/2009 (15:02:55 GMT)
Here is an image of the all new 2009 Williams F1 FW31. Livery still looks like it will change, specially the with the splash of RBS everywhere.

Hopefully Nico will get his first win this season after nearly nailing it in Singapore.
